LIHEAP Program

LIHEAP is a Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program that helps to keep families safe and healthy through initiatives that assist with energy costs. LIHEAP is a seasonal program that assist with heating and cooling costs. Please note that all services are provided by appointment only.

LIHEAP Heating Program

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is available to all income eligible households in Fulton County and City of Atlanta. This program offers a payment of $350, $450, or $500 once per program year to be applied to your home energy bill.

We will begin accepting applications for the LIHEAP program on November 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM for seniors only (ages 65+). Applications for the general population will be accepted, starting December 1, 2022.  All services are provided by appointment only.

What are the income guidelines?

What documents are required?

Please submit all required documents before your scheduled appointment.

  • Current gas bill and electric bill (Must show your name, full address, account number, and amount due.) 
  • Proof of income for the last 30 days for all occupants over 18 years old
  • Social Security cards for all household members
  • Valid Photo ID (Driver’s License, Permanent Resident Card, Passport, etc.)
