The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) is a federally funded block grant that provides housing, nutrition, utility, and transportation assistance, employment, education, and other income and asset-building services to under-resourced communities. FACAA  uses these funds for emergency assistance services and homeless prevention. Please note that all services are provided by appointment only.

Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) provides emergency assistance to low-income individuals, including the homeless and seniors.

There is no deadline for applying to this program; applications can be submitted throughout the year. However, the application process will close once funds have been exhausted. All services are provided by completion and approval of the entire application process only.

What are the income guidelines?

1- person household $33,920
2- person household $43,280
3- person household $54,640
4- person household $66,000
5- person household $77,360
6- person household $88,720
7- person household $100,080
8- person household $111,360

In households with 9+ persons, add $11,360 for each additional household member.

What documents are required?

Please have all required documents prepared for if/when a case worker contacts you.

  • Current, late or delinquent notice you are seeking financial assistance for
  • Proof of Income - person applying must have valid proof of income to qualify for financial assistance, and all other members over the age of 18 years old must provide income. Any household member with no income must complete a zero-income form upon contact with an assigned case worker.
  • Social Security Cards for all household members
  • Valid Photo ID(Driver's License, Permanent Resident Card, Passport, etc.)

All other required documents will be requested by your assigned case worker.

When can I apply?

All Eligible Households

You can apply for assistance at any time of the year as long as there is funding.

How do I apply?

To schedule an appointment, click on the "Apply for Financial Assistance" link above to start the application. The entire application is fully virtual and does not require an in-person visit.
