LIHWAP Program

LIHWAP is a Low Income Household Water Assistance Program that helps households in paying for drinking water and sewer services. LIHWAP is a seasonal program. Please note that all services are provided by appointment only.

LIHWAP Program

The Low-Income Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is available to all income eligible households in Fulton County and City of Atlanta. This program offers a payment of $200 or $300 once per program year to be applied to your household drinking or sewage bill.

We are accepting applications until funds are exhausted. Applicants must be a customer of an approved vendor.

Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment and bring copies of all required documents. Thank you.

What are the income guidelines?

What documents are required?

Please bring copies of all required documents to your scheduled appointment.

  • Current water bill (Must show your name, full address, account number, and amount due.) 
  • Proof of income for the last 30 days for all occupants over 18 years old
  • Social Security cards for all household members
  • Valid Photo ID (Driver’s License, Permanent Resident Card, Passport, etc.)
