Due to an economic downturn in America and because of the pending unemployment rate in Georgia, a shift of services has taken place within FACAA where our services  have been steered to a more creative approach to assisting the unemployed.  FACAA provides scheduled workshops and individual counseling in the following areas:

Workshops include:

·                     Perserverance when all seems hopeless

·                     Job Application and Resume Creativity

·                     Dressing For The Job Interview

·                     The Mock Interview Process

·                     Job Acceptance

·                     Keeping your job even when you don't like it anymore

FACAA was among the 183 grantees of U.S. Department of Labor’s YouthBuild program under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which is also known as The Stimulus Plan.  There were only two metro Atlanta organizations to be awarded.
