Senior ServicesA major portion of services provided by the Fulton Atlanta Community Action Authority is to support senior citizens. Because senior citizens usually rely on a "fixed income" which often places them in a state of poverty, they are eligible for most of the services of FACAA. FACAA collaborates with Senior Citizens Centers, Highrise living environments and Senior Citizens groups to assure that the service gaps aer removed. Many seniors are isolated because of their inability to travel from place to place as easily as once before in life. For this reason, priority is given during the energy assistance season. For those Senior Citizens who are active and able to volunteer, FACAA seeks their support when there is a need for food distribution, holiday activities and advocacy on behalf of the less fortunate. If you know of a senior citizen in need of help, guide him or her to a FACAA office as soon as possible. |
